Break Down Your Prom Budget

To make sure you have a good time at prom, it’s important to set realistic expectations. So first, you’ll want to make sure that you and your parents are on the same page as far as prom spending goes. After all, they will most likely be footing most of the bill.

Of course, if you have a part time job, money saved from a summer job or birthday, or another relative that is willing to pitch in, be sure to explore those funding options as well. Once you have an idea of what you can spend, then you can break down all of your expenses. Don’t forget to add in the tickets- those are a fixed cost! It will be easier to see what you can spend on, and what you’ll have to cut back on.
